We publish on this page the procedures for requesting reimbursement BY FRIDAY 8 March h.14 of 70% of the entry fee net of fees or to wait for the organisation's decisions regarding the regular running of the event.

Following then the WEATHER BULLETINS issued by the PREALPINE GEOPHYSICAL CENTRE every 12 hours with an indication of the percentage of probability of MANIFESTATION CANCELLATION

In order to meet the needs of those coming from afar, we NOW ASK you to decide for yourself between the following ALTERNATIVES that can help you decide who to travel with:

  • if maintaining your membership until the last moment before the start of the race and in the event of a race cancellation due to a weather emergency, we will still keep it valid for the next edition in 2025 or 2026 by providing a voucher (a condition initially stipulated in the regulations).
  • or if request a refund today and NO LATER THAN FRIDAY at 2 p.m., which will be paid to 70% of the registration fee paid, not for the full fee due to expenses already incurred and advanced by the organisation, which are now no longer refundable. In this case, the 2024 bib number is cancelled (e.g. so you save the trip and recover part of the entry fee this year) and automatic registration for the next edition is precluded in the event of the race being cancelled.

Make your choice by accessing your membership from your-> personal page on wedosport BY FRIDAY 8 at 2 p.m.

If you do not make any choice, what is defined in the regulations is automatically implemented, which provides for keeping the registration valid until the last moment before the start of the race and in the event of race cancellation due to a weather emergency, keeping it valid for the next 2025 or 2026 edition by providing a voucher. If you activated the CANCELLATION CLAUSE during registration, regardless of whether the race is cancelled or not, if you do not turn up at bib collection you will have a voucher next year that can be spent on the 2025 distances of what you spent in 2024 net of commissions.

Let us now see the WEATHER BULLETINS issued by the PREALPINE GEOPHYSICAL CENTRE every 12 hours

WEATHER FORECAST Number 2 of 7 March 9 a.m.

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

Although there is beautiful sunshine and clear skies at Campo dei Fiori today, the forecast for this weekend is not improving.

Here is the second weather report updated at 9:00 a.m. from the Prealpine Geophysical Centre of Varese.
La disturbance forecast for Saturday and Sunday unfortunately remains confirmed.
According to different numerical models, the limit snow/rain fluctuates between 1,000 and 1,200 metres for the whole weekend.
Le temperatures will vary from +5°C to +8°C in Gavirate, while at Campo dei Fiori will oscillate between 0°C and -1°C. Fog is likely from 800 metres altitude. Winds will be from the south-east in the morning and from the north in the afternoon, with gusts up to 30 km/h.
Considering the combinations of wind, temperature, humidity and radiation, the “wind chill” effect (perceived cold temperature) is around -9°C.

Current weather forecasts are considered reliable at 80%, so the chances of the event being CANCELLED are in line with this.
Here the image just received from the Centro Geofisico Prealpino di Varese showing the disturbance.

WEATHER FORECAST Number 1 of 6 March 6 p.m.

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

The disturbance forecast for the weekend remains confirmed for the time being.
Therefore, a weather alert is in effect for heavy rainfall, with snow expected above 1,000 metres and temperatures close to -1°C on the peaks. It is expected strong east-southeast winds, with speeds expected around 40 km/h.

Considering the reliability of these forecasts, the risk cancellation of the event at the moment is 70%.

These weather forecasts are supplemented by the monitoring of a potential landslide by the Civil Defence of Arcisate on the east slope of Monte Crocino and Monte Rho. This could strongly influence the crossing of the Valganna ridges for the 75 km route.
