COMPULSORY MATERIAL

Aggiornamento regolamento 10/02/2026

Competitive races take place in a environment that can be hostile with challenging stretches.
In this context, the MATERIAL accompanying the athlete is deemed necessary by the organising committee to safely and conscientiously tackle the route. Anyone who decides to tackle the terrain in unsafe conditions does so with the knowledge that they are putting at risk their own, and possibly the safety of others and that consequently the cost of any rescue, as well as any damage caused to the organisation or other competitors, will be borne in full by the person concerned.

ELMEC MATERIAL RECOMMENDATION 12K

Athletes taking part in the ELMEC 12K who feel that they do not aspire to top positions and in any case take more than one hour's race time WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you equip yourself with a FRONT LAMP. The sun sets shortly before 6.30 p.m, and as there are wooded sections, darkness and possible bad weather can make visibility difficult in the final part of the race. The organisation therefore recommends that you equip yourself with a headlamp.

COMPULSORY MATERIAL CONTROL

AT RANDOM, BEFORE THE START AND AT SOME REFRESHMENT STATIONS, IT WILL BE CHECKED THAT THE GELS, BARS AND WRAPPED CONSUMABLES ARE MARKED WITH THE COMPETITOR'S BIB NUMBER. THIS IS IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY ANY WASTE ABANDONED ALONG THE ROUTE.Ā

SAMPLE, UPON ENTERING THE STARTING GRID, THE VERIFICATION OF MANDATORY MATERIAL.

  • Disqualification is provided for in the event of refusal to submit to a check-up.
  • There is disqualification in the case of littering.
  • Disqualification during the race or blocking at grid entry in the event of absence of compulsory material during control
  • There is a 30-minute penalty for consuming, carrying or using bars, supplements or gels not bearing the user's bib number.

ATTENTION: In the event of SURGERY INTERVENTION and verification of ABSENCE OF MATERIAL indicated as OBLIGATORY, the organisation reserves the right to charge the athlete up to EUR 200 for intervention costs on an athlete without equipment. This is to the detriment of the safety of others and of the rescuers intervening.

Please also note that, in the event of FAILURE TO SIGNAL THE WITHDRAWAL by means of QR CODE or by means of communication to the personnel on the route, the organisation reserves the right to claim against the athlete by charging up to 200 euros for security expenses for the search of a withdrawn athlete.
