#CampodeifioriTrail was present on Tuesday 16 Nov. at the press conference of TEDxVarese at the Varese Chamber of Commerce for the presentation of the second edition of Countdown. Countdown provides initiatives and impact actions to raise awareness and involve the community in the identification of concrete solutions for climate change.

Also launched during the event was “Wild”, a non-profit tree-planting project in the Varese area, continuation of one of Countdown 2020's initiatives that allowed the first 100 trees to be planted in the city of Varese.

SELVATIC will allow generate positive environmental impact in collaboration with the Municipality of Varese, Lombardy Region, Varese Chamber of Commerce, Fondazione Comunitaria del Varesotto and a community of virtuous companies in the area (Carl Zeiss Vision Italia, Elmec Solar, Enoflex Group and Novauto Group)

CAMPO DEI FIORI TRAIL collaborates on the project through the free donations that members are making during registration deciding between three different donations:

• 0,50 € as a symbolic contribution that the organisation will endeavour to double when registration closes;
• 5€ for the symbolic purchase of a plant for the Campo dei Fiori;
• 30€ for the plant, monitoring and maintenance for two years to ensure its growth and survival.

Here is the fact that really makes us HAPPY is the great participation with more than 60% of members donating a total of €500 (with only 19 days to go before registration opens).

Other companies and private citizens can also join the “Selvatica” project contribute in various economic ways to the purchase of trees that will be placed in the Varese area following the indications of a scientific committee and the competent institutions.

The aim is to create a collective responsibility to counteract the effects of climate change, foster the biodiversity, redeveloping urban spaces and make the’cleaner air in our house.
