È un raduno ciclistico NON competitivo, senza cronometraggio, organizzato da A.S.D. Campo dei Fiori Outdoor con la collaborazione del partner--> ALL4CYCLING

Open only to 200 athletes who register online or on-site as indicated in the following section.

It will take place on the morning of 8 March 2025 on mixed routes (asphalt and dirt), with start and finish on the lakeside promenade of Gavirate (VA).

the Bike Trail Adventure is a NON-competitive rally, without timing. Each participant tackles the route in self-sufficiency

Two routes are planned:

  • Short: circa 38 km e 600D+
  • Medium: circa 45 km e 660D+
  • Long: circa 70 km e 1.100D+

The routes will wind their way through the picturesque territories at the foot of the Campo dei Fiori, deliberately avoiding the more impervious and technically demanding paths that characterise the mountain. The aim is to offer everyone a'safe, but still emotionally rich cycling experience with dirt tracks, mule tracks and fun single tracks

The start is "French style" and therefore free from the 8:30 am to 9:30 am.

Reception on arrival is guaranteed until 15:00.

NO, the route is not signposted but dangerous sections on the route are marked.

The GPS track will be provided a few days before the event.

Registrations are normally made ONLINE on the wedosport website or through the Walter Coppe shop in Varese.

If the 200 available places are not sold out, it will be possible to register on the day of the event on Sunday 9 March (from 7.30 to 8.30 a.m. at the start area), WITHOUT guarantee of the RACE PACKAGE.

If you are not a member of the FCI (or other EPSs) you can freely register and provided you have AGONISTIC or NON-AGONISTIC CERTIFICATE (with ECG) issued in accordance with the provisions of the Ministerial Decree of 24 March 2013 and subsequent Ministerial Decree of 8 August 2014 valid on the day of the event.

Without these certificates you will NOT be able to participate in the event

REGISTRATION

Questions and answers to clarify the registration process

Enrolments normally take place ONLINE on the wedosport website through this -->LINK or through the Walter Coppe shop in Varese.

If the 200 available places are not sold out, it will be possible to register on the day of the event on Sunday 9 March (from 7.30 to 8.30 a.m. at the start area), WITHOUT guarantee of the RACE PACKAGE.

FCI, CSAIn or other CONI-recognised bodies may participate, as well as non-members aged 15 years or over, provided they possess AGONISTIC or NON-AGONISTIC CERTIFICATE of high cardiovascular commitment valid on the day of the event.

Without these certificates you will NOT be able to participate in the event

  • 20 €until 5 March online up to 200 places
  • 25 €: on the day of the event at the venue (subject to availability of places)
  • Participation card (ID to be affixed on the bike) with organisation emergency contacts
  • GPX track of the chosen route (sent by e-mail a few days before the event)
  • RISTORIES on the routes and the final for registered participants only

  • Storage of bags for the duration of the event

An AGONISTIC or NON-AGONISTIC (with ECG) medical certificate is REQUIRED. as per Ministerial Decree of 24.04.2013), valid for the day of the event. Competitive and non-competitive certificates with ECG are therefore accepted

Yes, but by 1 March 2026 or as soon as it is renewed, the certificate valid on the day of the event must be uploaded to the wedosport website.

Only if done between 2 and 7 March can you bring a photocopy to leave at RACE PACKAGE COLLECTION. Without a valid certificate for the day of the event YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE

MEETING & ROUTES

Questions and answers regarding the meeting point and route characteristics

The meeting point is at the Lungo Lago di Gavirate, via al Lido.

This is where the distribution of the race package, the start/finish area, changing rooms, bike storage and washing area and the final refreshment area take place and will be located

Parking spaces will be available in the vicinity of the start/finish area, as indicated on the website in the event programme area.

You will leave independently from 8.30 a.m. until 9.30 a.m. Lungo Lago di Gavirate, via al Lido.

The route is circular, so start and finish will coincide. At the lakeside, the Village will be set up where you will find all useful services (refreshments, toilets, changing rooms, bag storage).

The mode of free "French-style" start" is a non-competitive format widely used in cycling and trail events. In this format:

  1. Flexibility in schedules: Participants can start in the pre-determined time interval (8 March from 8:30 to 9:30), avoiding a mass start.
  2. Individual rhythm: Each cyclist chooses his or her own pace, without the pressure of a race, favouring a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.
  3. GPS track: The routes are not marked in the field, so it is important to follow the GPS track provided by the organiser.
  4. Security: The roads are open to traffic, so it is mandatory to respect the Highway Code and ensure personal safety and the safety of others.

This mode makes the event accessible to all, with the focus on fun, discovering the area and sharing the experience.

The routes are on secondary asphalt roads, dirt tracks, mule tracks, paths and technical sections. The following routes are available:

  • SHORT ROUTE: circa 38 km, 600 m di dislivello positivo
  • MEDIUM route: circa 45 km, 660 m di dislivello positivo
  • LONG route: circa 70 km, 1.100 m di dislivello positivo

When registering, you are asked to indicate your chosen route (for statistical information) although on the day of the event you can then choose to follow the GPS track for the 30, 45 or 65 km distance

Gravel, cyclocross, mountain and e-bikes with pedal assistance are allowed.

The most common questions and answers concerning the RACE

It is only possible to collect the front cover and race packet at the meeting point on the day of the event: 9 March from 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.

To make the collection, you must bring with you a identity document.

WARNING: if you are picking up for a friend who is not competing (e.g. picking up a race packet for an injured friend) please let us know so that we will not have problems not seeing him/her at the start

As all roads are open to traffic, the strict observance of and compliance with the rules of the highway code.

The use of helmets is compulsory rigidly approved in accordance with the law and fastened for the duration of the event

There will also be available in the start/finish area a camp tent to be able to change clothes on the spot (no showers) with cramped spaces in which you are required to stay for the time needed to change clothes.

In the event Village there will be an area dedicated to BAGS DEPOSIT for participating athletes only. They will be able to leave their bag (not “oversized”) for the duration of the event in the morning. The bag will be recognisable by the application of the sticker with the number of the front assigned at race packet pick-up (the sticker will be in the race packet envelope provided with the bib).

In the event of a personal emergency or for other competitors, you can contact the emergency by mobile phone with the emergency number 351-8988708 (also printed on the faceplate). Staff along the route can also be notified of any emergencies, but the use of the telephone number is the most direct and rapid means.
