Route Description

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text delay=”0″]L’EOLO Campo dei Fiori Trail, On the strength of its recent 4th place in the ranking of the BEST ITALIAN TRAILS drawn up by the popular jury of Spirito Trail magazine, to make the competition even tougher, it decided to add a new race from 87 kilometres.

The competition will award the NATIONAL and REGIONAL trail running long-distance title for members of the C.S.A.In. sports promotion organisation.

 

The Ultra Trailers will initially run on the 65-kilometre course and once they reach the Valcuvia (Masciago, Rancio, Cassano Valcuvia) will climb to the top of the St Martin through the trenches of the Line
Cadorna, will continue for the Monte Colonna, St Michael and descend to Saint Anthony. At that point they will go up to the Cuvignone Pass reaching the top of the Monte Nudo for the ridge line. They then descend
the village of Aga and Casalzuigno, they will cross the valley and ascend the northern slope of the Campo dei Fiori via Cuvio and Orino. They will climb to the top of the Fort of Orino and return to the Lido
of Gavirate. An exhausting race of 87 kilometres with a positive height difference of over 6,000 metres, which aims to “sew together” with care and attention - as only noble tailors' hands can do - the
mountains, lakes, nature and the historical centres of our beautiful province.

They can participate all athletes with a competitive certificate for endurance sports (athletics, cycling, triathlon, etc.).

A BASE VITA in Cassano Valcuvia, dove gli atleti potranno riposarsi e trovare la sacca cambio che avranno depositato prima della partenza al lido di gavirate. La stessa sacca verrĂ  riportata poi all’arrivo.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text delay=”0″]
